After 25 years in the University Place district of Fort Worth, the College moved to its new location. The campus is now located just two miles south of downtown Fort Worth at 801 W. Shaw Street in the heart of historic residential neighborhoods near Texas Christian University and one block south of West Berry.
Built over 100 years ago in the Gothic revival style, the building was dedicated by the Sisters to Our Lady of Victory and educated generations of Fort Worth women until it was closed in the 1980s. After being sold to a private developer and fully renovated, the 76,000 structure was an apartment building for several years, until it returned to Catholic hands this summer.” It is an impressive five-story, red brick structure with limestone trim and a fully renovated and modernized interior of 76,000 sq. ft. The building holds student residential apartments on the two wings of the top floors, our beautiful chapel, library and classrooms on the middle floor, and offices, common rooms, and recreational facilities on the bottom floors. This new campus allows us to increase our residential capacity over 100 students (residential capacity at the old campus was 20 students).
It is just a short drive away, but the new campus offers vast improvements in accommodations, classroom space and facilities for events.
We are excited about our move, which has been so long anticipated and has finally taken place. We welcome you to our new home and we hope you will join us soon for Mass, events, or as a new student here. We at Fisher More College entrust all these changes to Our Blessed Mother and pray that our new campus may be a source of great blessings for all who come here.
